Salty Sailor Satchel Bag

For many years my husband was in the NAVY and his nickname was the Salty Sailor, spending months and months at sea can turn you a little ‘salty.’ This seemed like a pretty cool name for my new pattern, The Salty Sailor Satchel. The Salty Sailor Satchel is a bag with attitude, loads of pocket options to store all your loot while looking sharp. It is the perfect bag for carrying lots of gear.

The large flap is great for featuring your favourite fabrics and can be customised with quilt blocks, embroidery or foundation paper piecing if you wish. The base overlay gives your bag strength and style and check out the custom pen pockets on the exterior side panels! You will never lose your pens in the bottom of your bag again!

Inside you will find a padded laptop sleeve pocket suitable for laptops of tablets 12” (33cm) or less in size. You can also add a 10” (25cm) zipper pocket, raw storage pocket and key fob!

Suitable for work or weekend wear- get ready to make a statement with the Salty Sailor Satchel!

Pattern Level: Intermediate, some experience sewing with layers and zippers is helpful.

Finished Size: 12.5” (32cm) High x 14” (35cm) Wide x 2.5” (6cm) Deep

Please note this pattern includes a cutting chart only for all rectangle pieces and pattern pieces for the strap connectors and the curved edge of the satchel bag. I chose to do this to save printing and paper, the rectangles can be easily made with a ruler and rotary cutter or scissors.

You are purchasing a PDF Pattern only in this listing, there are no refunds for change of mind, please email me any questions prior to purchase.

Thanks so much, Kylie.
